The kids and Isla San Cristobol (The Galapagos)

Isla San Cristobol: The Galapagos is really cool, and we're only to Isla Santa Cruz! When we were coming  into the anchorage, we saw a whale, seventy- nine green sea turtles, six hundred sea tuber worms, one sea lion ( if you didn't count the  ten-million that were in the anchorage. That was just a guess.), and one hundred million blue bioluminescence. (That was also just a guess again.)

 

Seven  days after we arrived in the Galapagos, we went on a tour. First we went to Punta Pit. There was a hike, and when we got to the beach we noticed that the color of the sand was gold. The sun was very, very hot. We saw a lava lizard, a land iguana nest , a marine iguana nest, a blue-footed-booby, and even a red-footed-booby! Our tour guide said that the red-footed-boobies were very rare, and that we were very lucky that we saw one, and that only ten percent of the tour got to see them. The Galapagos is the best place ever!

After  the hike, we went to Kicker Rock. We jumped into the water and weren't affected by the Humboldt Current (a very cold current that flows through the Galapagos) because of  wetsuits. At Kicker Rock, we saw a turtle eating a jellyfish and a Galapagos shark. A turtle swam against Mark's leg.

The other day we found two grasshoppers about four or five inches long, and that could jump one foot high. Pea Soup (some friends of ours) had the grasshoppers on their boat first, and then we came over and caught the grasshoppers and put them on our boat. The first grasshopper we caught was very easy to get into the net, but the second one: we got the grasshopper into the net, it got scared, and jumped into the water so Mom had to get into the dinghy and re catch the grasshopper before it drowned. When we got back to the boat we showed Dad the grasshoppers (he didn't come). After that Dad let the grasshopper that fell into the water out of the net, (the other one was in a cage) took a picture of it and the grasshopper got scared again, and jumped into the water again.

The walking honeycomb fortress

My fort was called the walking honeycomb. My fort took three days to make (but I didn't stay for the whole day). I had fun at my fort and was sad when I had to leave. My fort was in Spanish Water in Curacao. I had other forts in places like Clay Rock in Grenada and our bathroom fort on the boat.

How Godzilla came to be

Years ago, two boys named Conrad and Mark were trying to catch a lizard. They dug traps and tried to catch the lizards with their hats. Then Conrad had an idea and he said, "Let's go to town." An hour later Conrad and Mark were in a candy store. They got bubble gum. Then Conrad said, "We could make Godzilla!" They caught a lizard and Mark blew a bubble with the gum. The lizard ate the gum and grew. That's how Godzilla came to be.

Whose creation? There are always games too!

Today for school we are making up our own food monsters.

My monster is called a Strawberry ant. Here is a description  of it. Size: 6 feet long, 3 feet tall. Where to look for them: The great tree of food, the biggest tree in food land. Pets: Straw berry ant minis are good pets and are fun. History: I bred a live strawberry and an ant. How to find the great tree of food: Once you are in the jungle it is easy to find. It is the biggest tree in the jungle.

Minecraft is a computer game. It is all cubes and there's creative and survival mode. I always make my houses tree houses or in a clearing because in the shade it's always a little scary.

Angry birds go is (as you would probably expect by the name) a racing game. All the games that I have and  my creations are fun!

We are in the Tobago Cays Marine Park. It's like being back in the Bahamas because the water is so clear. We took this picture when we were at the beach. We took the boogie board and decided to go snorkeling when we saw a stingray. We also saw the butterfly fish that Mark took this picture of.

After that, Dad saw the first black tip reef shark. A man was cleaning fish and dumped some fish guts in the water. The sharks, stingrays, and fish smelled it and the seagulls saw it. They started a little feeding frenzy. The guy that was putting the chum in the water said there was a 7-foot white tip reef shark in the harbor.

The brittle star is regenerating a leg. At first I thought it was dead but after about 5 minutes it started moving around. I yelled to Mark to bring the camera and we took a picture.

A swing made out of a fender!

This morning after school, Dad told us he had a surprise for us. At first Mark thought it was going to be a toy but it was the fender swing. We played for about 10 minutes and did silly things like twisting each other around. Our legs would get tangled up and we would walk around on our hands with our feet stuck to the fender until we fell off. It happened it to Mark first accidentally and then we did it on purpose because it was funny.
