Crabitat

Hi this is my crabitat for Hermity. We call it a crabitat instead of a habitat. Hermity has two water bowls, a food bowl, and some toys. he also has some sand. Happy Hermity!

New pets - land hermit crabs

Mark's hermit crab

Mark: This is my hermit crab. Her name is Crab Claw. I found her on a tree at Black Point. We know she is a female because there are two black dots with holes on her underside.

Conrad's hermit crab

Conrad: I found my hermit crab in the bushes when I was heading back to the dinghy dock. We don't know the gender yet. My hermit crab's name is Hermity. I'm still working on my crabitat. I found a water bowl and a food place for him.

The gyroscope car

 

This is our gyroscope car. We made it by putting a gyroscope in a Lego car that we built. It has a Lego board with a point in the front. Then we got a string and tested out our new mechanical car. It uses the gyroscope to propel it forward. The farthest it's gone is one foot.

At the beach by Conrad

This is our river. We call it the great seaweed river. We were going to make it a sinkhole but we made it the river. A bunch of sand fell in. We made quicksand too. This is the way we made it: water came in  and we stirred up the sand. There was a part we fell in because the water got deep quick.
